All were manually there are no machine or high technology, when they get the block of sulphur they will chopping it into smaller pieces to make it easier when they insert to the bamboo basket or plastic sack. They can load 60kg-100kg sulphur into the stuff then they will be transporting it just next to the parking where You start to hike. It’s one of the toughest profession in the world.
When you finish enjoy the scenery just walk down to the parking lot passing the same way when You hike in 1H then drive back to drop off You On the way to Banyuwangi there is a huge plantation produce several kind of tropical product most famous with Clove and Robusta Coffee, when You visit between April till September that will the perfect timing because so many activities to see from local people when they harvest the plantation. One moment you able to see when women climb up the clove tree only with bamboo ladder for 15mtrs or more without any safety while they pick clove flowers from each branch then when you pass another corner of the plantation you will smell a familiar aroma a bit like Jasmine flowers but the aroma were from coffee flowers at the same time you can see people harvesting the fresh coffee bean right from the tree, one of an impressive scenery.
